Getting a Green Card Through the Lottery

Step One: Registration

The object of registration is simply to place your name among those who may select through the lottery drawing system to receive green cards.

Step Two: The Application

The application is filed by you and your accompanying relatives. This application is your formal request for a green card.

Step Three: Paperwork

There are two types of paperwork that you must submit to get a green card through the lottery. The first consists of official government forms. The second is personal documents such as birth and marriage certificates.
